Theres so much more to Free Masonry than just meetings in suits with briefcases!
The Durham Masonic Parkrun Group is open to freemasons, family, and friends. And since its inception in 2022 they have joined together monthly at a local Park Run at various locations throughout the Province of Durham.
The focus of the group is not just improving physical health but the general wellbeing of all those involved. Relaxing afterwards with a coffee within an atmosphere of mutual fellowship is seen as an equally important part of the groups meeting. It’s proven to be a great opportunity to involve friends and family.
Meetings are monthly with the venue changing every month. which is advertised in advance via their Facebook page.
They operate with the minimum of formality and often have people attending simply to cheer with everyone then meeting up for refreshments after.
The group also presents a great opportunity to see some stunning locations around the Province and to build a greater understanding amongst the group about the areas in which they live.
